My name is Jon Bernstein and this web site is for my electronic music project.
Disparition is dark music drawing influences from a wide range of electronic, industrial, experimental, and folk music as well as from historical events and geographic spaces.
This music is made with samples, keyboards (Korg Triton & Trinity, Yamaha DX-11), electric guitar, piano, field recordings, hand percussion, and various software synths, sequencing tools, and effects.
I also occasionally make music for theatre and short film and am available to work by commission. I’d like to get into making music and sound for games as well.
